Subject: FLASH: Date/Time in Flash
From: Jason Bouwmeester

Hey everyone,

I know Matt from MM posted an HTML template that could be used with the
Publish settings in Flash. It actually gave me exactly what I needed to
modify a previous script that utilized ASP to grab the date/time off of the
server.

My new script utilizes JavaScript to send the Date, Hours, Minutes, and
Seconds to Flash which then increments off of the GetTimer function inside
of Flash. Not 100% accurate but I doubt anyone would sit there and stare at
the clock for hours =0).

Click the first to view the Flash movie, view the source for the code and
save the datetest.fla to see the inside functions of the FLA. I posted as
FLA so that mac and PC users alike can grab this. I am unsure if this works
on a Mac - could anyone on a Mac let me know if it does?

Thanks and enjoy!
