It would have nothing to do with what they sound like (modem, etc.). Likely
you imported the wrong sound format or the sound plus animation are
requiring too much processor activity. Is there a lot of animation going on
at that point? Is the movie local or on a Web server? If on a server, is
MIME type properly set? There could be many things causing this, but it
doesn't matter if it's a dial sound or a bird singing.
