i really don't want to jump in, but i can't see how the availability of an
archive would be offensive to anyone- this is the only list i belong to that
does not have a list. i can't imagine that the members of the director's list
or the after effects list or the media 100 list each and every signed a
waiver to allow use of the emails as a part of an archive. lists are supposed
to be about sharing information- i can't see how that process would be
affected in any way but positively. often, the list is discussing a problem
that i haven't encountered and a week later i need that info and i have no
other recourse to start that thread again. usually don't so i won't add
noise to the list.
i wonder how the list feels about the need for an archive? what about it,
guys- yeah or nay?
