Yes, you should.
If you set the sync parameter to Start, then the sound file will start
looping unless it happens to be playing already. This is a safeguard
against more than one instance of the sound file being played
simultaneously.
If you set the sync parameter to Event, the sound file will start playing
even if another instance of it is already playing. This is useful for
sound effects in games where you want to hear a laser beam or whatever over
and over.
