Put a stop in a keyframe where you want it to pause.
Put a movie clip there with as many frames in the movie clip as you want
the pause to last. In the last frame of the movie clip put the action:
TellTarget (target: /)
Play
End TellTarget
"/" targets the main timeline, so the movie will resume playing. Note: you
don't have to make a huge movie clip, you could make it smaller and put
several of them one after another in stopped frames on the main timeline.
