an effective way I have used is to send the movie into a loop of say 12 

frames.  before sending into the loop set a variable with the GetTimer then 

at the end of the loop have it use the GetTimer value again and subtract the 

variable from before it entered the loop. then divide by 1000 to get the 

number of seconds that have passed  put this into an if statement to either 

send the movie back into the loop or start playing again.
