Subject: FLASH: Update on "popping" problems
From: Daniel McQuillen
Date: Wed, 4 Aug 1999 16:38:24 +0100

A note for anybody experiencing the same problems and interested in the
troubleshooting. I brought the MP3 compression down to 56 kbps (Best),
and that seems to have eliminated the "popping" in my soundtrack. Why?
I have no clue. Any suggestions? This seems doubly strange because when
I compressed the sounds as ADPCM or even left it as RAW, the popping
was still there.

Problems like these make me stronger, right?

Daniel

P.S. Again, when I gain access to a FTP server this afternoon, I'll
post the before and after versions for anybody who's interested.
