Well, even though I was wrong I am so glad that I replied
that I couldn't move things with the object inspector.
After reading John's comment, I went back to look and
finally saw the "apply" button. It makes me happy to know
that I can type in a specific number and it will save me
much time.
I have no idea why I missed it. Possibly because I expected
to be able to type in a number for positioning and to have
it happen. In most programs typing in a number to change
things either changes it without having to do anything, or
you have to close the interface element in order to see the
change. I suppose an exception would be the photoshop
filters that you have to choose to apply.
