posted today: 3 articles on using actionscript to do programmatic moving of
objects
http://www.moock.org/webdesign/flash/actionscript/move/
the first example shows how to move something along a path. the second shows
how to redirect an object off a wall. the third example demonstrates
simulated gravity and adds a speed limit.
code samples, fla's, and explanations provided. together with the collision
detection material, we should be able to do some interesting things now.
for those of you who make it to the bottom of the page, there's even a little
experimental reward movie.
stir and enjoy,
colin
[ps. whoever was looking for "breakout" style movement in flash, these
tutorials are what you're after.]
