Subject: FLASH: Flasher-L: masking and motion guide

Hi Chris and Hiroshi,

I've been running across this same limitation. I have a project due tomorrow
and I guess I'm going to have to use Flash 3.

Any luck with some tricky work arounds. One thing I notice when going back
to Flash 3 was this only showed up (I believe) when you did a 'test movie',
as opposed to just playing inside Flash.

Hello Hiro
I think you have found the same problem I have
In 'Flash 3' it is possible to mask a motion guided object

Create a 'Symbol' to use on the 'Object Layer'
Add 'Motion Guide' layer and 'Tween' the symbol
Add a 'Mask' layer

I cannot find a way to do this in 'Flash 4' as the changes to the way
layers work seem to make this impossible

I will let you know if I find an answer

Chris
