Subject: | FLASH: Tell me why? (Oh, why...) |

In purpose to make one, quite large, swf movie load "in the background",
while another, also quite large movie, is currently playing I have made
use of "load movie" actions combinded with "tell target"...
The arragangement looks like this:
The first movie has a "load movie" assigned to a frame in its timeline.
Like this:
Load movie URL: movie2.swf
#Level: 1
In the last frame of the timeline of the first movie, is a button which
has this actions assigned to its instant properties:
On (Release)
Get URL URL: movie2.swf
Window:_Self
Begin Tell Target
(target: level1)
Go to next frame
End tell target
End on
The second movie starts with an ordinary preoloading loop (that "If
frame is loaded "- thing, you know) that loops over 5 frames containing
nothing but the white background (in order not to interfer with the
previous movie, when loaded). It has a "Go to and stop" Frame number
6-action, instead of the ordinary "Go to and play" in the prelaoding
setup - I dont want it to start before the button is triggered. The
actual movie2 starts in frame no 7 of its timeline (the frame that
*should" be targeted with movie1:s "go to next frame" actions...). In
this frame I have also put a "play"-action.
So...Why does this not not work??? ...The second movie loads fine,
while the first is playing. But it starts before the first is finished
and you never reach the last button-equiped frame!!!
Aaarrrggghhh.
Please, anyone. What am I doing wrong here? Or is there another way
(sure, there must be) to achieve this, that you know of?
