They are just trying to gauge your current understanding. If they are really
interested in testing for "on the job" performance, then I would suggest an
additional test. Find something the testee does not know and then test how
long it takes him/her to figure it out. let them use anything they can get
their hands on to figure out the problem.
In my opinion, the speed of knowledge acquisition is far more important than
rote knowledge of HTML. HTML is basic. I believe almost anyone can learn it.
The difference lies in how fast can someone pick this kind of thing up. The
rate of change is phenomenal. The amount of information is phenomenal. I
love it...
