Subject: | FLASH: F4: loadmovie...tests |

We have been doing tests trying to figure out how loadmovie actually
works...
The documentation I have seen says that a movie loaded into a level
containing a movie replaces that movie.
This appears to be accurate if loadmovie merely specifies a level --
placement is not a problem if your loaded movie is the same size as level 0
(see: http://www.squared3.com/test-1 )
However, it appears you can load a movie and replace a target instance
within the same level -- placement in this case appears to be the instance
center point, frustrating but workable
(see: http://www.squared3.com/test-2 )
So, my questions are;
1) If you load a movie to a specified level, and the movie is smaller in
size than level0, the loaded movie is scaled (maintaining proportions) and
centered to fit.
Can you specify where that loaded movie is placed without scaling? ...the
default seems to be 0,0.
(see: http://www.squared3.com/test-3 )
2) Why even use levels if "test-2" is a possibility?
Sorry if I'm being daft here...
Thanks,
Dug
