I'm not sure if this is what you're seeking, but QuickTime does not support
LiveConnect or ActiveX Scripting the way that Shockwave and Flash do...
there's not something similar to "FSCommand" or "externalEvent" within
QuickTime.

I'm not sure whether the current QuickTime player supports dynamic loading
of individual tracks. The format tends to interleave its various media
elements together, although there are certainly exceptions to this rule.
You might wish to check within some of the new interactive QuickTime tools,
such as Electrifier Pro and LiveStage, to see if this ability is exposed
and accessible.

The Flash/QuickTime mutual support was announced at the June conference,
and we're working here on the list with it now. I haven't seen
announcements of the next generation of such support, though. If you'd like
to see Flash 4 support in the next version of QuickTime, then Apple does
have input sources, including its developer mailing list.
