Hi Karin,
Here is what I would do.

1. In Flash chose the frame of the movie you want to use.

2. Export the image as bmp on PC or pict on Mac. In the export dialogue
box choose resolution: 300 dpi, 24 bit color and Full document size.(
these are the PC/ .bmp choices, Mac may vary but the idea is the same.)
I would not use a screen capture under these circumstances.

3. Open in photoshop and do the conversion to CMYK there. If your client
is asking for 300 dpi they probably want a .tif file not Illustrator .ai
and I am pretty sure they don't want a jpeg which is a lossy file
format.
Generally, the printers I have dealt with prefer to do the cmyk
conversion themselves and want to be sent rgb. They know more about
their printer and what works best for them.

4. Do send a color print out of the original art with the file and try
to get the color printout to be as close to what you would like to see
as possible.
As this art is an illustration and not a corporate logo, color matching
of the most rigorous sort will probably not be needed.
Do ask their printer what kind of file he wants. I have always had good
results with tif files saved from photoshop.

Hope this helps

Dorian
