Subject: | FLASH: How do you check the value of a text field? |

Hello, I am making my first flash movie and I want to be able to do
something based on the value that someone types into a text field.
Specifically, I want to have a "password" field and then do an "eq" test to
check for the value I want. I'm not too concerned about it being totally
secure, I know that that is not a secure way to do a password. I just want
to know why my attempts to set it up the easy way don't work. Flash
doesn't ever seem to be passing the "eq"
test. Like, I do a "show variables" command when I test the movie, and the
variable is set to the value I check for, but the test itself fails.
Any suggestions?
