I can do that but it doesn't 'tail off' like the one on the site i sent
previous.

Hey that's something I actually know the answer too ;) Make a movie
clip that has the motion you want and and then use that the same way you
would a simple object for a simple drag. The fade is done by changing
the tint to match the background on the last frame. If you use a
gradient then you need to use alpha and set it to zero. (Alpha is more
CPU intensive than the tint.) Hope that helps.
