John...thanks. I guess I knew this, but thought there was a way around
loading a movie on top of another without having to place an actual box that
doubles as the background...otherwise, you get a transparent layer. only way
not to have this is to "unload" which you've discussed isn't the best
option. So my question is this...about "parking" and calling up swfs. I'm
not sure I understand. If I have a button that directs a movie to load on
level6 and then from that level I have another button that loads on level5,
I'm screwed. if you only had one screen to load from it would be fine...but
you can never ensure that user will make a selection that will be
"greater-than" the current level. how do I get around this, to ensure my
"new" movie-selection is loaded on the top layer? perhaps this is the
"parking" issue. This is what you said previously about "parking" and I'm a
little confused...perhaps you can explain more or direct me to an example?

-----
You can't unload the movie on level zero without unloading everything.
We use park instead. A park frame is one that has no buttons and usually
is one that has no images as well.

In a movie that starts parked it is normally in Frame 1.
In a movie that starts by playing it is usually Frame 2 with frame 1
having a Go to and Play frame 3 action bypasing frame 2 initially.

thanks John! :) -thomas
