That's Fireworks you're thinking of... it creates rich pixels for web
graphics with things like skewed-editable-text-on-editable-curve.

(If you're instead looking at forming text or other graphics in particular
shapes, like squeezing text into a bottle, that would be the "envelope"
feature available in FreeHand or CorelDRAW!)
