FLASH: new to flash

Hello everybody


I am very new to flash (10 days) and went through the lessons and some of

the help-files. I've been trying to follow the discussions, some I

understand and some not quite yet. I might ask a few 'stupid' questions but

I always try to find solutions by myself first. Sometimes though, as a

beginner, it is very difficult to recognize the solution, even if it is

right in front of one's eyes, so please bear with me?


my 2 questions:


- can anybody recommend a really good book for beginners? (I ordered the

book from John Croteau but I'ld like to get started now)

- although I know that I should focus on the basics for now, I'ld still like

to start learning understanding the language needed to write expressions and

commands. Which language is it, and can anybody recommend a good book for it

too?
