Just a quick word.

The swf file format is an open format and has been for quite some time.

So it's a bit difficult to say that Macromedia 'owns it'. Anyone can

produce swf files without using Flash as an authoring tool if they are

so inclined, but for now it is cheaper to just go ahead and buy Flash

for authoring swf files.

Robert's earlier remarks are quite similar to a recent series of FUD

casting affirmations that are not helping Flash developers at all.
