Subject: FLASH: Decrease size of Flash file
From: Kristopher Wainwright

Hey all ....

I've been doing Flash for about a month and I
understand alot more than I did a few weeks ago, but
what I need to do is .... I have a swf that is about
3.8 meg, it has a song in it .... converted to mono
from stereo and dropped it to 112kbps/44khz from
192kpbs/44khz. This really dropped the size, but I
need to see about dropping it some more. I have a
preloader in it that works, but what I want to do it
make it faster to download from a dial in connection,
since it takes like a half hour ...unless it times
out, which is what I'm trying to avoid.

What is a reasonable kbps to drop the song down to
before it just becomes nasty and garbled ?

FYI .... checked it on DSL, cable and T-1 and faster
lines ... it works great there, just need to make it
work on dial in now.

Thanks guys and gals ... this is a great list.
