You are correct.
However, you will come damn close, and considering that pixels are discrete,
eventually you will be close enough that the rounding error will put you
there.

Did anyone get to see Josh Davis' fern lecture at FF2K last week? i've been
dying to download his source, but it's not available yet soooo ... lemmie
ask:

In order to slow his movie clips down when they reached the marker, he said
he check the xpos of the clip, the xpos of the movie, divided by half and
moved the clip that much. (i *think* that's what he said) He did that so
the clip would move increasingly more slowly as it reached its target.

What i can't understand is how the clip ever reached its target! If you
keep dividing the difference by half and moving that much, you'll NEVER
reach your marker!
