Thanks JGL, I did not explain what I was trying to achieve correctly, this
should make it a little clearer.

I tried to set the alpha of the clip within itself using nested movie clips
but this also reverts to 100 alpha in the next scene.

I cannot set the alpha to 20 of the graphic because the alpha is dependant
on a users input. By answering yes or no to a question the alpha is set to
either 100 or 20. I want these values to work throughout the rest of the
movie. At the moment I have to test a variable at the start of each scene
and the re-set the clips alpha accordingly, not what i want to be doing
really. But if this is the only way then it has to be done.
