At 256 colors yeah, there's a big difference.
At 16bit on up though it's a perfect match.
Probably nothing you can do about it. I looked at some of my flash sites . .
. same thing.
I looked at other peoples flash sites too, again same thing.
Just a fact of flash development.
I would venture to say very few people have a monitor setting at 256 colors
. . . but I know that doesn't help. Percentages in regards to the Internet
IMO are not good stats due to how certain sites will attract a niche of
users. Like the site where everyone visits, 60% have their monitors set to
256 colors. . . but 93 % of computer users in general have their monitor set
to millions of colors. This is obviously a huge exaggeration . . . but
relative ;)

Do you mean that is what i will have to tell all the people,
that visit my site without a fullblown 32bit video card and monitor ?
I am just trying to blend websafe colors in html bg,
and my flash object and embed bg tags.
Have a look at http://prac.net/prac2/bottomleft.html
I had the complain that the html bg color is not the same as the flash bg
color,
from several pc users.
i am using the same hex values for both, a websafe value "#cc3333"
Thank you
