You have XML lovin' in F5. Not only that but if you are so inclined, you
have a special XML socket object so that you can actually open up a 2-way
connection with a server. Yep.. a real socket based connection... weeeee...
as soon as our server here at fig stops acting bad I am going to be posting
a custom Java server that accepts connections from Flash 5 clients. :-)

Well ok, long as we're discussing/wishlisting...
can anyone tell me what, if any, changes there are to passing information
back and forth and updating information dynamically that would apply to
multi-player/user interfaces (chats, games, etc.) in Flash 5? (I did read
through the info on the site and various reviews, but if it's telling me
this, it's not doing it in a way i understand :)
The javascript-like actionscript sounds wonderful, but now that i have this
much more coding ability, i'd love some way (in flash itself) other than
get/post to pass the information from - ultimately - user to user :) If not
in flash 5, maybe in flash 6? (If i'm just missing something already known,
just say so pretty please :)
Laura
