Stuart, it sounds like you need to be working in PS with a transparent
background to start with. Make sure when you create a new doc you specify
Transparent background (not white or background color). Save for Web as
24-bit PNG w/transparency option checked. When you save for web, it'll save
any layers you currently have visible (and no others). You'll then have the
same kind of visual in Flash as you would have if you'd layered the same
graphics in PS. Hope this answers your question.
