Helen,
The best way is to create a hybrid CDROM which will have both the mac
and pc executables.
There are several PC solutions out there ( i dont know any off the
top of my head)...or if you have a mac.. you can use Toast to create
the hybrid CDROM.
As for the hqx file, it is a compressed file and will not run unless
decompressed. The user will also need a program to decompress the
file.. although most Mac users out there have StuffitExpander ( like
WinZip)..
