The key concept is to keep an open loop, rather than a tight loop. A "loop"
structure in ActionScript is designed to quicky iterate over a range of
values, and it will continue to execute until completed. If you need to
repeat something for a very long time -- whether for a given number of
seconds, or a few thousand processes, or until a sound is done or such --
then it's better to give the computer a chance to do other things in the
middle.
