When you test your movie (control|test movie) press ctrl+alt+v to get a list
of all the variables current values. The shortcut might be different on a
mac. I think there is information in the manual on this under
testing/optimizing movies.
Another technique is to stick a trace command in your script. You can trace
a string or an expression. When you test the movie, the value of the trace
command pops up in a text output window.

Hi Everyone:

I am new to flash Action Scripting. Since many of you are experienced Flash
Developers, I would appreciate your words of advice.

I was wondering : how would you in Flash conveniently display the value of
your variables for development purposes. Director as the watcher window
which serves the purpose. I also use the alert function in JavaScript to
display some properties or variable values during run time.
