Thanks John. At least that explains it. It doesn't solve the problem though.

I'll just have to hope that Mac users don't like IE

Only internal and GetURL links work with IE/ Mac (and IE for Win 3.1).
The Mac IE browser has no way to communicate between JavaScript and
plugins such as Flash.

FSCommands and JavaScript Protocol communications don't work with Mac IE
browsers.

There are two ways to communicate between plugins and JavaScript, Live
Connect and ActiveX. In their infinate wisdom Microsoft has not included
either of these features in IE 3/4 browsers for Mac.
