Well, I take it you have the variable set up as a session variable... if
that is the case then all you have to do is make the page that delivers the
SWF a CFML page and throw on the end of the URL for the SWF
?name=<cfoutput>#namevar#</cfoutput>
Thats it! No need for anything inside flash!

I have a question about this too,
What is the correct syntax for retreiving data from ColdFusion? For
example, a name variable, which the viewer enters at the beginning of
the html site, which is processed by ColdFusion. Then, at the end of the
site, there is an .swf animation which I would like to have
personalized. To use the GetVariable for that, how would I do that to
get the name from ColdFusion. Does anyone know? Please?
