FLASH: Does duplicating MC's use more CPU processing???

Hi,


I have a movie clip that I duplicate 10 times and assign the same actions to 

each clip. However I find that this greatly slows down my movie speed. When 

I make 10 individual MC's and assign the same actions to each, I find that 

it's not nearly as bad. Do I just suck at scripting or is there a reason for 

this. If anything I would think it would be the other way around. Has anyone 

experienced this as well?

Just what is going on when I duplicate a MC?
