Subject: RE: FLASH: basic question on searching
From: Kuehl Melissa-wlmk06

Hello all ---
I apologize in advance for the simplicity of my request for information.
I'm and Internet Content Admin and have various projects....unfortunately,
not many of them use Flash, so I am 'easing' in to using and understanding
how it works.

I've created a splash page for a resource library with (what I think is :) a
very cool and advanced navigation structure. It is a single movie, with
links to html pages. I need to add a search capability, using the NT Server
index search....I have already created the functions and the pages. (I'd
love to send the URL, but it's an intranet site....and the firewall is in
the way of my progress :)

Can anyone give me input on how to effectively pass the information entered
into the text field in the movie to the search page/.idq URL?

Again, I apologize, since this is a very BASIC question. I appreciate any
help any of you could offer, and would appreciate it if you would send
replies directly to me, so that I don't clutter the list with responses to
my obvious inexperience!

TIA,
lissa
