Recurring bus errors: (after trashing prefs, fonts,
minimal extension sets, if that doesn't work), boot
from the system CD, run drive set-up do a low level
format, 0 all data, re-install the os.

Seen recurring bus errors mostly on older machines
and/or intensivly used lab machines (video/3d, though
I've never had one on my own intensivly used, long
suffering home G3, gofigure...), esp. machines where
the OS was updated uncleanly or without defragging
the the drive first.
