thanks, C! I am talking about the Generator ticker. Sorry I was not more
clear -- they call it a scrolling list in the Generator Objects in flash. i
found the tutorial on the Macromedia site. Here it is:

Do you mean a Generator scrolling list? If so, you can download a tutorial
from the Macromedia web site that has info on creating a ticker (basically
the same thing) -- you just have to go through the template/server download
stuff to get to it. The big difference between a ticker and scrolling list
is that a ticker scrolls automatically and a scrolling list requires some
buttons to push it back and forth (easy to do!).

You can find a cool example of a scrolling list at
http://www.digitalclubnetwork.com, under Clubs.

list on your flash site? If not, do you know of site where they have a
scrolling list (no tutorial, just so i can see what the scrolling lists look
like and what they can do)?

You need to set up the SWT output under the Publish Settings. You can
preview your SWT's inside of the Flash editing environment if you only have
the authoring extensions installed.
