Thanks for your help, I have seen this script and have considered using it,
the only problem with this solution is that it does not address checking the
database for the existence of the address. For this particular application
it is necessary to only allow unique entries. In the application people
can win things if they sign up so the try and sign up a million times
thinking it will increase their chances to win....not the
case...however...as you can imagine....
If i use this script, then send the address to the CGI i would still have
the same problem with the delay in getting the results of the DB search...
Im also curious, how much inpact does a script like this have on the client?
Would it make sense to do the verification on the server or client? what
type of performance hit will the client experience with this type of script?
