Subject: FLASH: Long Form Presentation
From: Aaron M Spence

Hi People,

I'm about to create an 8 min online presentation, consisting of about 12
separate sections. All sections are based on the same background and
navigation, the navigation is an integral part of the design, not a bar at
the bottom etc. (we've designed the screens in FH8 already). The
presentation is purely linear, ie no jumping from place to place, only
'next', 'previous' & 'exit'. (Is this guy ever going to ask a question?)
There will be about 30 secs of MP3 voice over in each section, along with
motion graphics.

OK, now to the question.

I'm considering developing it as a single base movie that pulls the other
movies in as it needs them. But each movie will need to bring in the nav
elements for itself, and there is quite a few symbols that will be used over
and over, these will also need continual reloading.

or

Just make it one long movie, so all the symbols are available to any section
anytime + the nav only comes in once.

I'd appreciate pearls of wisdom from those who've been here.

Thanks,

Aaron M Spence
