Subject: FLASH: Exporting soundtrack to QT/AIFF
From: Chip Taylor

Hi All

My specs: Flash 4, Mac OS 9, QuickTime 4.1, Powerbook G3

I recently exported my Flash movie as a QT one in hopes to extract the
soundtrack (as a whole) and save it out as an AIFF. The export played fine
and as expected in the QT player, and I extracted the audio track to it's
own QT file, which played fine, too. I then exported this file from QT4 Pro
to an AIFF. This is where the problems started.

The AIFF I exported was nothing but static. No music was discernable at all.
I tried to make conversions with various applications, but no luck.

The odd part is that I had someone do the same thing with OS 8.6 and and QT3
and they were able to export it adequately to an AIFF with the shareware
SoundApp.

Anyone have any idea why I encountered difficulty?

Thanks in advance.

Chip
