Okee, thanks for the tip buy the way of avoid using this effect within a

button symbol. I really didn't know that but I tried that before with no

results :)


Thank you for your time, I have again a question if you don't mind...


I have a flash movie that loads an external txt file.

Within this movie there are only 4 keyframes with actions attached to the 4

keyframes.


Keyframe #1 says:

	Load Variables ["./text.txt",1]


Keyframe #2 labeled "loading" says:

	If [text ne""]

		Go to and Play ["done"]

	End If


Keyframe #3 says:

	Go to and Play ["loading"]


Keyframe #4 labeled "done" has the variable txt field.



My question is "what does the line "If [text ne""]" in keyframe 2 say and

why the ["./ in keyframe #1 when the txt file is in the same directory as

this movie?

Make the movie clip external to the button, and use TellTarget to control

the clip. Give the clip two sequences (forward and backward) and use Stop

actions to keep it from playing except when told to play. You can also

embed the button inside the movie clip and control the movie clip's

timeline from there. What you cannot do to achieve your effect is to embed

the movie clip in the button in symbol edit mode.
