FLASH: Fading dynamic text in Flash 4?

Hi All,


I'm trying to create a fade-out effect for a dynamic text field in Flash4.  The text field is inside of an instanced movie clip.  I made a loop that decreases the Alpha of the movie clip, but the result is strange -- the text stays at 100% alpha until the end of the loop and then blinks out.


Does anyone know how to work around this?  Flash5 is not an option for us, due to its buggy Flash4 publishing problems.
