There is no Mac equivalent of exec and there is no such thing as .exe
files in the Mac world. Mac programs will only run with user
interaction. The .hqx file extension refers to a compressed file which
will expand on download (assuming the user has the right software
installed) but it will not run a program. Mac and PC operating systems
behave very differently in how then run applications. I do not believe
there is a way to autostart a program on a Mac, but perhaps I am wrong
about that and others will correct me.
