RE: FLASH: Opening Word documents from Flash

Sorry, i'm being a bit vague....


I am running the thing in a IE browser as a SWF.  Everyone has the apps to

run it.

Is it the case that if I use geturl and specify the file path it will work

out the rest? (I am going to try it but feel like asking the question incase

there is a better way - there will be a large number of documents and I will

probably stick them into V12 later but just to make sure that this is the

quickest way to do this as I need a working eg by close of play today.

Assuming you mean "from a web-based SWF", the answer only 

depends on whether or not the user has Word or Excel.  If they 

have IE, I believe it will open up right away.  If they have 

netscape, they may have to explicitly save it to disk before 

opening it.
