Friends,

It's been a while since I have been on this list, but
I seem to have
gone
brain dead since my departure. I am trying to get a
button rollover to
work. What happens with this rollover is the doors in
a movie clip
swing
open on the rollover and then close on the rollout.
The problem is
that if
you move to another button right away the new movie
clip starts playing
before the door closing sequence is finished. I tried
to regulate this
so
that the closing door rollout would have to finish
before the next
rollover
would be allowed using an If statement on the
rollovers with a value
playmovie=1 for it to work. Inside the door movie
clip I am
temporarily
setting playmovie=0, then resetting it to '1' when the
rollout sequence
is
complete. This does not seem to work. Any other
ideas would be
greatly
aprreciated.

I know there is probably an easy answer, but I am
coming up empty.

Thanks in Advance.

My suggestion was going to be to set a variable and
then check to see when it is finished before you let
them roll off. Are you sure you are targeting the
variable correctly? Make sure the button checking the
variable isn't in a different movie clip. If it is,
then you need to target the correct movie clip. / goes
to the main timeline and then /MovieClipA/MovieClipB
goes down a path from the main movie. Then put a :
after the path and enter your variable name and that
should make sure you are targeting the correct
timeline. Because, it should work.
