Subject: FLASH: newbie: stripping character sets out of strings?
From: jmerrill
Date: Fri, 22 Dec 2000 20:32:26 GMT

OK, my last question for the day, I promise, but its any easy one!

Using loadvariables ("text.txt", ""), I am reading in a text file that has
returns. i.e.

text=
&var1=Hello
&var2=My name is:

etc. I'd rather not have to put all the text in one like this:

text=&var1=Hello&var2=My name is:

How do I strip out the return characters that get loaded in each string? I
can't find the proper Flash funciton in my manual.
--Also, would I be stripping out "\r" or would it be "%OD" ?

Thanks!
