Hi Henry,
Check out my FlashJava test page to see how Flash compares to Flash Java
at http://www.FlashCentral.com/Java/ This has a built in timer so you
can see how long Flash and FlashJava work on various browsers. The timer
fails sometimes in IE3 when using FlashJava if the web connection gets
disconnected while downloading. If this happens you can still time it
but you have to click the Link when the animation is finished. This only
happens using MSIE and the FlashJava and only if the download is
intermittent.

If you plan to use FlashJava you should always do a dedicated test of
your .swf file and see how well they perform before you expose them to
the general Web or incorporate them as alternate content on your pages.
