With tracing, there is not a one to one ratio of object to the page but 

the tablet tends to magnify the object.  I tried to trace around a folder 

tab, eg. and the proportions were way off.  I haven't tried directly 

tracing over paper, but I expect if you wanted to do that you would want 

a much larger tablet. The draw area would only allow a small item to be 

traced.
