Sorry, no can do... with over 25 toolmakers writing SWF, new Flash Players
*must* support the published SWF spec. Things are too big to be small.

Seriously, folks around here have been waiting for Adobe to create SWF for
a long time. It's part of the reason why Macromedia invested in the
FlashWriter Export Plugin for Illustrator 8. The more tools that support
this format, the better for all of us.

Adam wrote about filesize... what I saw in that screenshot seemed to be
pixel-based effects, so I'm wondering exactly what they're trying to do
there. I also didn't see an interface for interactivity, and so am unsure
how they'll be able to do the new-wave work that people on this list are
doing. That screenshot made me curious about their filesize and
functionality intentions.

(And ditto what my partner Matt said... if other tools make you say "Hey, I
wish Flash did that!" then please do drop a short note to
wish-flashatmacromedia [dot] com -- these requests are analyzed and play a real
role in determining future work, thanks!)
