I don't think its strange at all, its a simple UI

thing that any interactive media program ought to

do. Director represents a pretty major time/money

investment to do simple things like change the

cursor, embed a video, etc. Further, for web

work, Director represents a much smaller

installed plug-in base than flash, so having

these simple enhancements in Flash would be much

more useful to web developers. I suspect some of

these things are not and will not be included in

Flash to protect the Director market and the

investment of Director owners, but that is

another issue altogether...


I'd still be happier with some decent animation

controls than a cursor change, though...
