FLASH: forms in flash problem -- Cold Fusion

hi everyone, I hope you're all having a good day :],


I guess this question is mostly for Brandon or Chrissy, since it's his

and Chrissy Rey's tutorial I'm having a problem with, but if anyone else

can answer me, then great.

I'm doing the Postman tutorial from Flash Lite for Cold Fusion, because

I'm attempting to begin to learn all about passing variables, hopefully

to understand how to incorporate databases eventually. Whatever. And I'm

supposed to be an illustrator. Anyways....


So, I understand how it is supposed to work, and I have done everything

correctly. The first problem is, that even when I downloaded your .fla

and postman.cfm, the e-mail that I sent to myself (I changed the

recipient to

slamont2mtc [dot] com

) has no message, just to, from, and the

subject. Secondly, I work with a cold fusion programmer (not an expert,

but she pretty much knows it) who looked at the postman.cfm document and

was a little puzzled by the way it was written. So I guess another thing

I'm wondering is if this is different than what she is used to because

it is getting variables from the flash file, and maybe this takes a

slightly different type of syntax. And finally, the third problem is

that even when I used your files to test it, and when I correctly

recieved the e-mails (not with any message, still), the embedded .swf

stuck on the third or fourth frame, not switching to the "mail has been

sent" frame.


If you could please help me out with this, I would love it. I need to

learn this stuff as quickly as possible. If I should e-mail you directly

then let me know. thanks a lot!
